Kimberly A. Colgate, Broker

Kimberly A. Colgate graduated first in her class from law school in 1979.  After practicing law for 4 years, she joined the faculty at the Thomas M. Cooley Law School.  Kimberly taught Federal Income Taxation, Estate & Gift Taxation, Wills & Trusts and Administrative Law. 

Kimberly served on the State of Michigan Real Estate Appraiser’s Board from 1991-1998.

Kimberly moved to Sarasota, Florida in 1997 and founded the law firm of Kimberly A. Colgate, P.A.  Her firm specializes in Estate Planning, Real Estate Law, Income Taxation and Business Transactional matters.

In 2003 Kimberly became a licensed real estate closing agent for Fidelity National Title.  Her real estate journey led her to founding Private Wealth Realty, Inc. in 2010.

Kimberly was a Real Estate Sales Associate with Private Wealth Realty, Inc. until 2014, when she obtained her Broker’s license.

From 2011-2013 Kimberly closed $6.5 million dollars of real estate sales.    Kimberly currently has $2.5 million dollars of listings.

Kimberly’s experience in real estate sales, law, title agent and past State Real Estate Appraisal Board adds a wealth of knowledge and experience to Private Wealth Realty, Inc.
